F Chambers extends congratulations to Mrs. Ingrid Lee Clarke-Bennett on her recent admission to the TCI bar and her appointment as head of Civil Practice. Clarke-Bennett comes with a wealth of experience in her field having been Called to the Jamaican Bar in 1987. In her 27 plus years in practice Mrs. Clarke-Bennett has garnered experience in an array of specialty areas including Civil Litigation and Property Law which encompasses Strata Corporation Law, Conveyancing and Estate Disputes.
In addition to Ingrid’s role as a Civil Litigator she has worn many other hats in Jamaica before joining F Chambers as their Head Civil Litigator such as Assistant Company Secretary for the Urban Development Corporation, Acting Company Secretary for the National Housing Trust, Consultant for the Sugar Industry Housing Limited where she advised the board and supervised the Mortgage and Debt Recovery Departments of this Statutory Corporation. In her response to Chief Justice Margaret Ramsay-Hale who made the order admitting her to the bar Ingrid thanked God, her parents, family and friends for their support over the years and pledged to continue to maintain the high standards of what she termed “this noble profession” and to do everything in her power to make a positive indentation on “the jurisprudential landscape of the Turks and Caicos Islands”.
Managing Partner of F Chambers, Mark Fulford noted, “I am pleased to welcome Ingrid to the F Chambers team and I am confident that her experience and knowledge will in no doubt translate into a first class quality of representation. Our firm stands on a premise of Justice for All and I look forward to working with her to fulfill this mandate.”
