It was with much pump and pageantry that the 2016 Legal year opened with all of the Supreme Court Justices present and with a fair representation of attorneys being in attendance. Chief Justice Margaret Ramsay-Hale, gave an overview of the legal year 2015 and outlaid plans for the 2016 legal year at the opening of the Supreme Court on Monday.
Commenting on the opening TCI Attorney Mark Fulford said that he regret that he was not in attendance this year due to having to attend his aunt funeral in Orlando Florida, but having heard the opening address made by the Chief Justice he remains hopeful for a very progressive 2016 for both the bench and the bar of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
