F Chambers Managing Partner and Attorney Mark A Fulford has been elected by his peers as a Bar Council member for 2016 – 2017.
The Bar Council is the governing body for the attorneys who are called to the Turks and Caicos Islands Bar and that are members of the TCI Bar Association.
The functions of the Bar Council are to maintain the honour and independence of the Bar Association; to promote and encourage proper standards of practice and conduct among members of the Bar Association; to promote and encourage the development and dissemination of legal learning, education and training; and to encourage the improvement of the administration of justice and procedure.
The Council for 2016 – 2017 is made up of the following attorneys: Jonathan Katan of Miller Simmons O’Sullivan ,President, Sarah Knight of Misick and Stanbrook, Vice President, Desiree Downes of the A G Chambers, Attorney General’s Member, Mark A. Fulford of F Chambers, Member, Oreika Selver of DPP Office, Member.
The Council sits on a regular basis in an aim to carry out its functions as prescribed by the Legal Professional Ordinance.
