F Chambers Attorneys mourns the loss of the late Hon. Mr. Justice Dennis Morrison OJ CD KC, former President of the Turks and Caicos Islands Court of Appeal and former Vice Chair of the Judicial Education Institute of the Turks and Caicos Islands (JEI).
Justice Morrison, a native of Jamaica, passed away on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024. He was 73.
Managing Partner Mark A Fulford joins in support of the statement from the Turks and Caicos Islands Judiciary that noted Justice Morrison’s distinguished career, which spanned decades and multiple jurisdictions, leaves an indelible mark on the legal profession, and on the Judiciary and the JEI of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Fulford stated “ We mourn the loss of Justice Morrison and extend a heartfelt condolences to his wife Janet and their children on the passing of a giant of a man, not only in the court room but in society as he was a man loved by all!”

His Lordship was educated at the University of the West Indies, the Norman Manley Law School and Oxford University.
His Lordship served as the President of the Court of Appeal of Jamaica (2016 to 2020), and as President of the Turks and Caicos Islands Court of Appeal (2021 to 2022). He has also served as an Acting Justice of Appeal, of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (12-16 January 2015 and 31 May-4 June 2021), and as a Justice of Appeal of the Cayman Islands.
